My Story

A people-person at heart, I care passionately that every individual understands their potential, value and significance, no matter what their past has held, or the nature of present difficulties.

I find great solace in spending time in the natural world, hence the choice of pictures for the  website , and enjoy being creative.

Before gaining my Dip HE in Counselling, I worked with children with hearing impairment and special needs.

I am married and have four adult children. I have a Christian faith, and recognise the impact of belief systems on the way we live our lives.

My Approach

I am fully qualified and am registered with the ACC (Association of Christian Counsellors). As such I am bound to work within rigorous ethical principles and undertake continuing professional development.

I can provide in-person therapy at my practice based in Sandgate in Folkestone.

I also offer online, telephone or email therapy, depending on client needs as discussed in an initial assessment, and on current Covid-related restrictions.

We can also work creatively if desired, although this is easier done in-person, and offer ‘walk and talk’ sessions, if that is preferable to sitting inside, weather permitting of course.
